Inverter chargers from Victron Energy not only convert DC to AC power like a standard inverter, but they also provide charging to the connected batteries at the same time either from the grid or a generator. This is incredibly useful when using solar energy to charge the batteries as it provides additional, or indeed replacement power, when the power delivered by solar energy isn’t enough.
With PowerAssist Victron Inverter Chargers can also supplement the generator, shore-side or grid power when peak levels of power are required and the power provided from the source is reduced, and with PowerControl they also sense the current source load to adapt their power draw to suit, ensuring the source is never overloaded.
